A Legacy Brewed Over Generations: The Solares Coffee Story
Our humble story begins in the small, rural town of Nueva Santa Rosa, Guatemala, where my great-great-grandfather, Dionicio Solares, and his wife Mariana made the first coffee harvest. Life was simple, resources were scarce, but what they lacked in wealth, they made up for in determination and love for the land.

In 1976, my father, Armando Solares, inherited not just knowledge, but a deep-rooted passion for coffee. He worked tirelessly beside his father until 1982, when he made the difficult decision to leave Guatemala in search of a better life in America. Yet, the pull of the land never left him, even from afar, he returned periodically to care for the farms, ensuring the fruits of his labor maintained the highest standards.

The Nostalgic years
Grandma Refugio's home-grown coffee
I still remember, with a heavy but grateful heart, the mornings with our beloved grandmother (may she rest in peace), who would rise with the sun and brew fresh coffee each day from the beans that grew on the trees right outside her house. The aroma would drift through the home, filling every corner with warmth and love. She believed coffee was more than a drink — it was a moment to gather, reflect, and honor the hard work everyone put into our farms.
