The history of our coffee company is a story about family. Great-Grandparent Sipriano Solares and Dominga Solares began this search more than three centuries ago, in 1870. They settled in the fertile mountains north of Santa Rosa de Lima, Guatemala and planted the seeds of what would now become: Solares Farms Coffee.

Our father, Armando, was born on the family coffee farm, Hacienda Nueva Santa Rosa. As a child, he worked in the fields with his own father, observing and learning the secrets of growing quality coffee. He spent years perfecting the craft of growing, cutting, roasting and creating the best quality coffee. Over time, he inherited his father's estate to follow the family legacy.
I am the son of Armando Solares. Like our brothers, father and grandfathers, we grew up on the plantation and learned about coffee in the fields.
Our choice is to make quality coffee following the tradition of our family to ensure the perfect cup so we personally select the beans, the cup samples as they arrive and supervise the roasting and production of this specialty coffee every day.
We do all of this so that your customers and guests can secure a wonderful cup of coffee every time, from the first sip to the final drip.

    Our company was founded on a passion to delivering you freshly roasted premium coffees that taste the way coffee was meant to taste, and we think a great cup of coffee inspires great conversation.  In some small way, we hope to impact this world through great tasting coffee shared in community with others.

  • Taste

    We are committed to crafting you excellent roasted whole bean coffee delivered fresh.  We roast our coffees in a fluid bed roaster in small batches using traditional sight, smell, sound, & a bit of technology to craft flavor. 

    Health & Environment:  Our Coffee is roasted in an environmentally friendly manner while burning no fossil fuels.  We use only clean, hydroelectricity generated here leaving a minimal carbon footprint.
